On 04.11.2025, MENCAURA EOOD launched the implementation of activities under Funding Agreement No. DEP-1.001-0098-C01 “Improving Cybersecurity in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Republic of Bulgaria” under the Digital Europe Programme, procedure DEP-1.001 “Support for Improving Cybersecurity in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Republic of Bulgaria”.
The main objective of this project proposal is to introduce and implement modern solutions and measures to reduce existing cybersecurity risks at MENCAURA EOOD, in accordance with the regulatory framework of Directive (EU) 2022/2555 and Regulation (EU) 2021/694 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2021. The implementation of the designated cybersecurity measures will lead to an overall improvement in the company’s economic activity.
Through this procedure, the enterprise will have the opportunity to enhance the state of its existing cybersecurity capacity by improving and applying new solutions, namely:
– Improvement and implementation of modern cloud-based cybersecurity software solutions: immediate installation of a centralized EDR solution providing stronger protection than the standard Windows Defender currently used by the company, for a period of at least 3 years; configuration of automatic weekly scans of all devices; addition of anti-phishing filters to email services; use of high-complexity passwords with mandatory change every 90 days; activation of two-factor authentication (2FA) for access to cloud storage (Nextcloud); installation of file protection (DLP – Data Loss Prevention) to prevent data leakage and unauthorized access to files for a minimum period of 3 years.
The total value of the project is BGN 33,500 / EUR 17,129.67 in European funding.
